On Sunday, December 13, 2015 (from 6-10pm) neighbors from Columbus' Near East will enter the Franklin Park Conservatory with their families, friends, crock pots and crudité in hand!

 

  • Please use the Special Events Entrance - Conservatory staff in golf carts are generally available to give a ride to those unable to walk from the parking lot.

  • VOLUNTEERS – please confirm your participation and arrival time!

  • DONATIONS - to the First English Lutheran Food Pantry will be located at the entrance. This year, our special focus is also Socks Wear Out

  • POTLUCK ITEMS - The buffet tables will be located in the Lower Level Concourse (next to the Gingerbread Houses on display).

    • Drop off with the Buffet Coordinators on your way in - they will assist with identification and placement of items on the food tables.

    • EARLY DROPOFFS & APPETIZERS please bring in between 4:15 and 5:30 (Buffet Coordinators will be setting up appetizers & hors d' oeurves for the 6pm cocktail hour).

    • LABELING - PLEASE!!!!

      • PLEASE TELL US what you might bring when pre-registering - you certainly can change your mind! There's no special guide or rule - we are adjusting the pre-registration info with suggestions as we get responses.

      • IDENTIFY non-disposable serving dishes and any utensiles with name and phone!

      • SPECIAL NOTES & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS - It is helpful to know if there are special considerations (such as vegan, gluten free, contains nuts/shellfish). If you have a special dietary restriction...consider bringing that type of item to share!

    • MAIN COURSE - We are providing a main course of BBQ Pulled Pork, Cold Cuts and a Vegetarian Penne Pasta.

    • DRINKS - Non-alcoholic punch and water provided

    • PAPER PLATES, NAPKINS, CUPS, CUTLERY - Disposables are provided

  • MEAL DONATION - For guests not bringing a potluck item, we suggest $5/meal - donate in the Showhouse 

  • HOLIDAY RAFFLE

    • You do not have to be present to win - and can purchase tickets by cash, check or card in advance and on-site at $1/each or $5/six tickets.

    • Drawings will be held throughout the evening - item drawing schedule will be posted in the showhouse.

  • SILENT AUCTION

    • Shop the creative displays in the Showhouse.  Winning bidders may pay for their purchases by cash, check or card beginning at 8:30pm

  • CASH BAR - The cash bar serving beer, wine and mixed drinks will be located in the Showhouse. Cash and cards are accepted. The bar will be open at 6pm with last call at 9:30pm

  • FAMILIES - The Jingle Mingle is a Family-Friendly celebration!

  • MINGLE & TOUR - Mingle with friends and make new ones! Please enjoy your self-guided Tours of the Conservatory!
