The Jingle Mingle Near East Neighborhoods Holiday Potluck is more than a holiday celebration - includes an important benefit for the less fortunate. As part of the Events at the Jingle Mingle, guests are invited to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the First English Lutheran Food Pantry.

Several groups have promoted a “Socks Wear Out” campaign, and this year we are also trying to bring attention to this need of Central Ohio's homeless by asking that attendees consider donation of socks, gloves, scarves and personal care items (see checklist for suggestions below).

Main course, vegetarian and other buffet items from the Jingle Mingle (items not placed on the buffet, and those that are otherwise suitable) are donated to the First English Lutheran Food Pantry – returning a benefit to our neighborhoods of the Near East.

Donations from the 2014 Jingle Mingle were enough to provide approximately 100 meals.

In 2015, following the Jingle Mingle, food, clothing and toiletries were donated to touch 125 people!
